So, while I was sketching, I realized that there is no definite list of what will go in the different sections of the pyramid.
The top-most section will be "off limits" things (extras), like duct tape, zip ties, twine, etc. The bottom-most section will be sponsors, mentors, donors, etc, since we wouldn't be able to do anything without them.
What should the middle 4 sections be? I was thinking that if needed, we could possibly increase the number of sections (5? 6?). Should these sections be based off of the different subgroups? Maybe, media, electronics, build (generic stuff, like chaining, nuts, bolts, etc?), programming, and CAD? (I just took these off of the list of different training lectures for the fall) Should welding be included?
We could say that robots working in the different sections is teamwork, since they're all working towards a common goal, or we could have a bunch of robots working to raise a flag with the FIRST logo on top of the pyramid.

this is too much for me to comprehend.. lol. whatever seems fit will work lauren. (;, all of them are good ideas. I mean we dont have to make more sections for the subgroups.. we could just have diffrent pictures for instance diffrent breads and grains in the bottom section. or the robots idea with a robot in each section doing something diffrent?
ReplyDeleteHm...well with 4 middle sections, you could divide it into Build, Media, Programming, and Electronics, which is the second-most general way to divide up the team, I think. And it would be more like the original pyramid, so more recognizable...?
ReplyDeleteCAD could be considered part of build, I think.
As for welding--do you mean put welding in its own section? If so, I think welding could also be a part of build, and it's not something that the team always does (or has learned to do, so far)...
And as I said in my other comment, I like the FIRST logo idea. Oh, and the robots-symbolizing-teamwork thing too. :]
Another random-thought...iunno how Programming and Electronics would be illustrated, if they get their own categories. =/
ReplyDeleteAnd what the arrangement would be, for Media/Build/Programming/Electronics, because they're all important...
But that might not even be an issue, if we go with a different layout. So...semi-nevermind. :]
